The Annual “Preaching In The Foothills Camp Meeting” hosted by Going Home Free Will Baptist Church has become a highlight for many of our own church members and many guests from across North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida and surrounding areas . The old time singing, preaching, home-style cooking, and Godly fellowship and Worship are enjoyed by hundreds every year under an Old Fashioned Worship Atmosphere.
Since 2004, the “Preaching In The Foothills Camp Meeting” has been a source of encouragement, conviction, inspiration, and a place of salvation. Some of the greatest preachers and singers from across the country have been invited to minister to the hearts of preachers and church members alike. Some guests bring their families and make a week of it or a few days, enjoying not only the Annual Camp Meeting, but also some of the beautiful Western North Carolina attractions in and around Marion.
As Pastor of Going Home Free Will Baptist Church and the moderator of the “Preaching In The Foothills Campmeeting”, I would like to invite you to the campmeeting. Our main purpose and ultimate goal and sincere motive in hosting this Camp Meeting is to glorify and magnify God! Psalms 34:3 KJB ” O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.”
Our Burden is by the help of God is to have a place with an atmosphere of prayer, praise and preaching that exalts Christ. A campmeeting where people can come and pastors can bring their churches and not have to worry about foolishness, fighting and false doctrine. A place where people can get help, refreshed and revived. A place where sinners can be convicted and saved. A place where young people can come and be introduced to the power of God. Missionaries, pastors and evangelist can get revived and go turn the world upside down. Young men and women surrender their lives to God.
Stay the week with us! We have dorm rooms available at the local New Manna Baptist Church Camp, located on lake James here in Marion, NC. Guest who are staying the week with us will be provided these dorm style rooms absolutely FREE of Charge. (If you would like to bless the New Manna Camp and the Camp Meeting Expense, Donations would be greatly appreciated, all donations will be forwarded to the New Manna Baptist Camp.) Got a big group? No problem!! We have dorms that will sleep up to 25 or more men or women each. Dinner will be served every day. Every night after the services their will be sandwiches, chips, drinks served while we fellowship.
Bring a youth group or a church. If you would like to stay please call us ahead of time in order to ensure you a place to stay. We will give rooms to people as they come in. So unless you have reserved a room it is first come first serve.
