Some Things The Devil Will Try To Cause

1 Peter 5:8

INTRO:  His job is to kill, steal, and destroy.  He causes trouble for The Church, The Child of God, and The Cause.

A-  What the devil will try to cause:

1)   Discredit to The Word Of God---Gen.3:1-5

   A.  He trys to get you to doubt Gods Word

   B.  He trys to get you to take things out of context

   C.  He trys to get you to doubt its Authority and its Accuracy.

2)   Doubts as to the Wisdom of God---Gen.3:5

   A.  He trys to twist The Word Of God, in other words makes you doubt what Gods Word says.

   B.  He thinks he knows what God knows,  but His ways are not our ways, not His thoughts like our thoughts.

3)   Division amoung Gods people.

   A.   The leaders of The Church

   B.   The members of The Church.   

   *  A house divided cannot stand,  we need to be on guard.

4)   Disloyalty to the work of God.

   A.   By being disloyal  in our study of Gods Word. 2Tim. 2:15

   B.   By being disloyal in our Prayer life.  1Thes. 5:17

   C.   By being disloyal to church attendance.  Heb. 10:25

   D.   By being disloyal in our stewardship.  1Cor. 4:2

5)   Dissatisfaction to the will of God.

*Get the peoples mind on:

  A.  Pleasure rather than God.

  B.  Prosperity-- Wealth

  C.  Popularity--Social Standing

6)   Deadness in The Church.

   A.  By polluting peoples minds--TV, Pornagraphy, Internet.

   B.   By all the above.

7)   Distraction as to the way to God.

   A.   By Philosophies 

   B.   By Hypocrites

   C.   By  Procrastination

CONCLUSION:        Let us be on guard of the devils tactics and his cunning way.
