SOME THINGS ISAIAH  LEARNED

ISA. 63:1-6

INTRO:   ISAIAH SAID IN VERSE 1,  WHO  IS THIS THAT COMETH FROM EDOM?   NOW THROUGH STUDY, DAKES SAYS THIS IS THE  DECENT TO THE EARTH AT THE 2ND ADVENT, CHRIST WILL APPEAR OVER EDOM, AND HE WILL CONTINUE TO DECEND UNTIL HIS FEET WILL TOUCH ITHE MOUNT OF OLIVES. (ZECH. 14    AND    REV.19:11-21)

--AND AS HE WAS LOOKING AT THE ONE THAT WAS COMEING OUT OF EDOM, HE SAW SOME THINGS IN VERSE 1.

1- HE SAW DYED GARMENTS     --DAKES SAYS THESE BEING COLORED FROM THE BLOOD OF MEN AT ARMAGEDDON, WHICH IS COMPARED TO A GREAT WINEPRESS OF GOD’S WRATH.  (REV.14:14-20)

2- HE SAW HIM GLORIOUS IN HIS APPAREL  -- CAN YOU IMAGINE THE GLORIOUS APPAREL ON THAT DAY,  GLORIOUS!

3-  HE SAW HIM TRAVELING IN THE GREATNESS OF HIS STRENGTH  --MIGHTY POWER,  MIGHTY STRENGTH.

4-  HE WAS MIGHTY TO SAVE  --THANK GOD FOR THAT, HE IS MIGHTLY TO SAVE.

BUT THERE WAS SOME THING ISAIAH LEARNED:

1-     THAT GOD CAN STILL STIR HIS PEOPLE

n       THERES NO PERSON GOD CANT STIR , YOUR NOT TO HARD OR TO HARD HEADED.

n       WE NEED TO BE STIRRED UP ABOUT THE LOST, DIEING, CONDITION OF THE WORLD.

n       WHEN GOD STIRS US, YOUR STIRRED

n       A SONG CAN STIR, BUT IF GOD DOESN’T STIR YOU ITS UNPROFITIBLE.

n       ISA.10:26 “And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.”

n       DEUT.32:11 “As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:”   PREACHERS WANT TO BE STIRRED, BUT NOT ARROUSED.

n       DEACONS WANT TO BE STIRRED BUT NOT AROUSED.

n       THE MOTHER EAGLE PUSHES HER YOUNG OUT OF THE NEST AND THEN SWEEPS DOWN AND CATCHES IT.

n       GOD’S STILL STIRRING SOME NESTS, DOES YOUR NEST NEED STIRRED.

2-     THAT GOD CAN SEPARATE THE WATERS

ISA.43:2 “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

--INK EXODUS THE LORD TOLD MOSES TO STAND STILL AND SEE THE SALVATION OF THE LORD.     TOLD HIM TO STRETCH FORTH HIS ROD AND  WHEN HE DID THE WATERS DEPARTED AND ISREAL WALKED THROUGH ON DRY GROUND.

--NO MATTER WHAT DIFFICULTY YOUR IN OR FACING GOD CAN AND WILL PART THE WATERS FOR YOU.

--IF ITS FINACIAL, MARRIAGE, WHAT EVER,  IF HES PARTED THE WATERS BEFORE, HE CAN DO IT AGAIN.

3-  THAT GOD CAN  SATISFY THE THIRSTY SOUL     ISA.44:3 “For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:”

--ISA. 55:1 “Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.”

--IF YOUR THIRSTY, HE CAN SATISFY.

--SATISFACTION COMES NOT FROM  THINGS OF THIS WORLD, BUT FROM KNOWING JESUS IN THE FREE PARDON OF SIN.

--HE’S THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN SATISFY YOUR TROUBLED SOUL, HE’S THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN SATISFY YOUR THIRST, AND FILL THAT EMPTY SPOT IN YOUR  SOUL.

--BUT IF YOU WILL EVER GET A TASTE OF LIVING WATER, IT WILL SATISFY, AND YOU WILL KNOW IT!

--PS. 42:1-2 “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?”

--EXPLAIN   (HE  STORY OF THE WOMAN AT THE WELL.)

4-  THAT GOD WILL SPEAK PEACE TO YOUR HEART   ISA. 26:3 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

--JOHN 14:1 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.”

--THANK GOD IT’S  PEACE LIKE A RIVER, THAT FLOODS THE SOUL.

--THANK GOD HE SPEAKS PEACE, TO THE STORMS OF LIFE.

--I’M GLAD ONE DAY JESUS STEPPED UP IN MY HEART, AND  SPOKE  PEACE TO MY SOUL.

5-  THAT GOD CAN  SAVE TO THE UTTERMOST     ISA. 59:1 “Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:”

--NO MATTER WHERE YOU HAVE BEEN OR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE, I’M GLAD HE CAN STILL SAVE TO THE UTTERMOST.

--1 JOHN 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

--HE CAN TAKE THE LOWEST SINNER AND BRING HE OUT OF THAT OLD HORRIBLE PIT, SET HIM UPON THE ROCK, ESTABLISH HIS GOINGS, PUT A NEW SONG IN HIS HEART, AND MANY SHALL SEE IT, AND FEAR, AND SHALL TRUST IN THE LORD.

CONCLUSION:   ISAIAH LEARNED THAT GOD:

1-       CAN STILL STIR HIS PEOPLE.

2-       CAN SEPARATE THE WATERS.

3-       CAN SATISFY THE THIRSTY SOUL.

4-       CAN SPEAK PEACE TO YOUR HEART.

5-       CAN SAVE TO THE UTTERMOST.

--WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED?
